Saturday 24th January 2009: Supper
The 24th AGM was held on 9th May followed by a social - around 30 Friends were in attendance. The eight events held during the year were aimed at a broad cross section of interests and the support that was received enabled net profits to be maintained at virtually the same level as the previous year. This is most encouraging bearing in mind the repair work being undertaken to the fabric of the church - the truss repairs are now completed, some initial masonry repairs are about to start and the Friends agreed to donate a further £10,000 to cover the remaining priority masonry repairs.
A full programme of events is planned for the next 12 months which we hope will attract people from the village and further afield and enable us to continue to support the maintenance of the fabric of the church.
