A very enjoyable evening was had by all at the event, which raised over £150. Due to business commitments our original speaker was unable to give his talk and Walter Herriot, MD of the St John's Innovation Centre, stepped in at a late date and gave us an insight into how the "phenomenon" had developed. His experience in the early days with Barclays in Cambridge fostering the development of "knowledge" based companies, then with Coopers and Lybrand East Anglia and for the last 13 years at St John's Innovation Centre enabled him to give us a very interesting, down to earth and enthusiastic insight into the process of development.
For our last event of our financial year the talk occupied the first part of the evening with a chance to socialise over a glass of wine and a Ploughman's supper afterwards - a format we hope to repeat next year with another speaker.
