History of Holy Trinity Church - recent thoughts

by Peter Draper

Friday 25th May 2012

Peter Draper gave a very interesting talk to around 50 people, covering aspects of the Church and its architectural development from the 12th century onwards using drawings, photographs and written records. A few examples were restoration of the facing of the tower, changes to the windows behind the altar in around 1871 and a vestry built on the north side that was demolished in 1685, now providing the entrance to the new meeting room. Following an interval, Peter took the audience on a guided tour around the outside and inside of the Church.

There is a wealth of information from Peter Draper on the Meldreth Local History Group website, including many pages about Holy Trinity Church.
