The Summer Garden Concert by Parisian Swing was held in the church due to uncertain weather; however the audience thoroughly enjoyed a most authentic evening of jazz in the style of the Hot Club de France, led by Michael Massey on lead guitar.

The performance was no doubt enhance by the bass and rhythm guitar players who had recently returned from the annual 9-day Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival at Samois-sur-Seine, hearing there many Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli style groups playing jazz and gipsy music.

The quartet was completed by an ex-BBC Philharmonic violinist, now enjoying a more relaxed style of music.

Despite jazz dating from the 1930s, technology has crept in to the group with the rhythm guitar player having his chords and music on an iPad.
