The 12th annual Car Show was held on a dry but windy day. The exhibits filled the churchyard including 47 cars dating from 1924 to 1989 i.e. Vintage pre and post war, classic with a strong sporting influence which can be seen with the Ferrari Dino, Lotus 11, and Austin Healey in the foreground. There were 11 motorbikes including a sprint / hill climb special combination with a minimal 'sidecar' for the passenger and finally two old pedal bikes.
There was an opportunity to trying bell ringing with a CCTV image from the bell chamber and computerised sound; this was tried by a number of the younger visitors. In the South Aisle there was a display of paintings by two local artists together with some super ink sketches of cars by a young graphic artist. To round off the afternoon tea and cakes were served in the Meeting Room while the Memphis Jazz Band played music of the period in the churchyard.
